Color separation |
A stage in the process of printing photos and graphics, where the original image is separated into four colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). Plates are made for each of the colors and ink for those colors is used to print the plates on top of each other, reproducing as nearly as possible the color of the original image. A basic knowledge of color separation is indispensable for performing color DTP. |
